What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Just installed some myself (with the AR15 imprint). I have to say they are my second favorite pair of knobs to play with.

 

Anyone know if these (or something similar) will work for the later 2nd gens? Didn't see any threads on it yet.

 

Not today, but yesterday. I got the oil changed and then got ONE of my sliders installed before my back gave out. Hopefully Ill be able to mend quick enough to get the other one on and not look like a tosser the entire week.

 

Dang sorry to hear that. Are you using floor jacks to help with the slider install?

 

Yeah, I had a floor jack and a pair of jack-stands. It wasn't a lifting thing, it was while I was getting the bolt on the bottom trying to line it all up had to tweak it and was just positioned under it wrong. A couple of days and I'll be back to gold.

 

Rest up brother! Back injuries are nasty.

 

I was reading through here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/premium-audio-upgrade-for-less-than-250.510424/ and saw where someone said that these do NOT work on second gens. Dont know if something similar will work for you..

Did the exact same thing taking my running boards off my old 2011 and then to a lesser degree yesterday wrenching my new front hitch on. I feel your pain...(almost) literally. FWIW Motrin Muscle and Body has the highest amount of methacarbamol per pill...that's the muscle relaxing agent. Not pushing drugs per se but when you're in pain it's good to know these things sometimes.

 

What tailgate light is that? I bought one but it looks like it will block the spare tire access port..

Installed Diode Dynamics HID 5K low beam conversion kit and @Baja Designs Squadron R-Sport fog lights. Also included the fog pocket kit last week. I'm very happy how it turned and with the fog pocket kit, it looks more slick! Light output is far brighter and farther than stock. Also with the wide angle, it covers more area than it already does.
