    I have the same Napier, and they do actually come all the way over the side of the truck, so water can not get under the tent. The rain fly works great, It has rained once when we used ours, we didnt even notice other than the noise.

    How are you clogging the fuel filter sock at 30k, filling up in Mexico? Or was that 130k?

    That's the number that kept popping up when I researched the subject. Either way it's an internal filter and my truck had 170k when I did the filter/pump. Now I can replace when I please.

    Hard to keep up on here nowadays! Love how the group has grown. The numbers are looking great for this fall run too! We are about a two weeks away from this trip and it looks like we will be camping on the easy to get to spot. HOWEVER, if this spot is taken (as it usually is) we may need to go to another spot that we can all get to. If others don't care we can split the group up as well. Either way works for me.

    this should be an awesome run!

    How do you know that you need to replace the filter? My 2005 with over 250K and 2015 with 62K don’t (didn’t) have that issue or maybe I don’t notice that? Also did you remove the bed(easy way) or dropped the tank?

    I was getting a surging idle that I couldn't isolate. I had checked all vacuum lines ect. I read on one of the threads that I may be caused by a clogged fuel filter. Figured it wouldn't hurt to be able to swap out filters as I see fit also. And I dropped the tank like a fucking man.
    (I did break a nail like a woman though)

    if I got a RTT she defintely wouldn't come. Dude she's like petrified of heights. For fuck sakes she can't even climb a two step ladder without freaking out lol.

    She said she'll come eventually just not fond of Ardbeg especially at this time of year

    I know. She comes up with too many. But she said she will come eventually. She just said she'd rather a day trip first before camping.

    She's never actually been like full on camping. She's used to the parks type camping where there's bathrooms lol.

    She's just not fond of first time going, it also being camping.

    I like the idea of "training her" in the Backyard, before you attempt the "primitive" kind of camping..!!

    I'm not sure if any guy has ever actually accomplished that and survived.....!!

    You might want to start her off with a Porta-potty kind of thing (keep moving it further away from the tent, each time out).. and then work up to the point where she goes for a pee during the night and grabs the 12 ga. on the way to the tree....!! If you ever get to that point .... you got a "keeper"... hehehe...!!

    John...:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
