just about had a situation inside Subway in Benicia.

I walk in to a line of three people an a single man sitting in a sweatshirt, jeans and a hood on. I look at him for a second then he turns to acknowledge me and i notice he has a hunters mask full face shield on. I find this extremely odd as its chilly but not THAT cold this morning. Hes also nervously twitching and shaking his leg and fidgeting. I keep a close eye on him and mentally decide i should probably leave. Its now my turn at the counter and i feel comfortable enough because him and I are now the only one in the building besides the man paying for his sandwich. He jumps behind me in line all of a sudden and i casually turn around and ask that if he now would like to order he can go ahead of me, you were here first, go ahead. He shook his head no so i requested if he were to stand behind me that he remove his mask and its very poor timing and also a little unnerving today. He shook his head again as saying no, then sat back down. I continue to order my sandwich while angled towards this man in case something does happen I'm not blind sighted. As i pay someone else in similar clothes, no mask walks in and the two men talk and get in line and order. All while the man does not remove the mask. I casually pay, slyly hand the woman a business card in case something did go down they had a witness, walk out of the building and sit in my car and watch to be able to report anything if something does go down. They take about ten minutes to exit and get in a refinery truck and leave.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around why someone would think that was a great idea, especially today.

it was like straight out of training class. Something didnt feel right and i probably should have left. I even had decided to leave in my head but didnt.

just some dude in a face mask because this morning was cold and windy, but dude you're inside...take it off. You're freaking people out.

Definitely sounds like a scenario straight from training class. At least you acknowledged something was wrong and assessed the situation. Most people wouldn’t have thought twice about their surroundings.

    Just a litte consideration, right?

I use the outside drop box at the bank everyday. I commute by motorcycle. When I go to the bank I roll up on my bike, park it, walk to the box, put my key in, drop the money in, close the box, take my key out and get back on my bike. I don't even turn the engine off. I have an internal visor on my helmet. I always flip it up just so people can see my eyes. If there are a lot of people outside the bank I take my helmet off. It only takes 45 seconds to take it off and put it on.
I know most people don't care but I don't want to make anyone more nervous than they already are.

On the other hand, maybe being there prevented something from happening? And yes, probably not the best day to be the idiot.
