Squeaky Stick

Some time I get a squeaky noise around the stick shift. It seems 2 B around the boot. Any ideas or links ? Thanks

 

BUMP. I just noticed this over the weekend...when I place my hand on the boot, it subsides. BTW, I'm actually serious. It is a bit annoying.

 

I've got the same issue. Get a squeek from the boot rubbing on the shift lever in 3rd and 3h gear. I've thought of maybe wrapping some tape or something around the lever but never tried it.

 

Wow ! How did this post get revived after 2 years ? If anything works please post it for the rest of us.

 

I used the thing at the top that says "search" and let you do the work of describing the problem.

Quite surprised nobody has suggested turning the volume button clockwise...

 

I thought that was how the blower motors got fixed but I guess it would work for this problem too.

 

You would also think the growl of our 2.7 liters of NA power would drown it out, but alas...
