Oh on the note of camping, who's got some cargo space in the bed? Until I have my rack the plano totes, treds and cooler take up pretty much all of the bed.

I've got a shit ton of fire wood in my backyard though. anyone want to help move it up. I can probably only bring a little in my bed.

lol don't see why it would matter.

I get hardwood pallets from work every so ofter and remove the nails in them but those I use in my firepit that I cook on just to keep the nails out of it. easy to clean when its just the ash.

But the fire pits at ardbeg dont matter.

The wood I have is all old trees that were cut down in my backyard and neighbours. been back there for a while but should still be good. Might have some bugs in them but oh well lol

actually you know what if we are camping on the beach would be a good idea.

but if we're in that other spot who cares. you don't drive where the pit is.

Got myself one of these monstrosities for CB interoperability. :) (Samsung Galaxy J3 for scale...) Takes 9 AA batteries, but you can run it empty with the included 12V cig lighter cable. Amazon reviews say the range is poor with the included antenna, but can be improved greatly with an external whip. Basic idiotproof radio with just two knobs for volume and squelch, and channel up/down buttons. https://www.amazon.ca/Uniden-PRO401HH-Professional-Channel-Handheld/dp/B00N43KM5S/

Similar what I have, I got external antenna for better range and if I need to get out I just connect the small antenna.

I have that ARB twin nonsense on my rig, everyone will get aired up

The wife and I plan on being there Saturday morning sometime around 9-10 and leaving Sunday in teh afternoon sometime. We are really only going to see all you guys and camp with sweet ass camp fire, we dont really plan on doing any trailing. Maybe just the dirt road that is stock friendly we may rip down that at somepoint

I have a Motomaster "it takes forever" air compressor. It's extremely reliable, but by the time I finish one of my tires everyone else is done all 4.
Good thing my compressor stops automatically at whatever I set it, so I can just leave it and do something else.

One of the main reasons I went overboard and went with the ARB twin, is bugs. Where we live the bugs are so bad for 90% of the season, that airing back up you just dont want to do it. I got the twin so I am done asap and not fighting the swarm.

Plus its nice to air up and head home before the other guys are even done with 1 tire, I like that kind :transformer:

Argh truck keeps throwing error code P0012 (Camshaft Position 'A' Timing Over-Retarded Bank 1) which is related to Oil Control Valve sticking or the filter screen being dirty. Has happened 5 times now in the 2 years I had the truck. This time it was only 2 weeks between when I cleared it last, and it came on today.

I am tempted to pull the passenger side OCV screen and see if its dirty. Since it is just 1 bolt. Is bank 1 even the passenger side? Driver side bolt is much harder to get at, need to drop the alternator.

Would you guys take it to the stealership since its still under warranty, or try and play with this problem yourself?

Doesnt look that complicated .... https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/oil-control-valve-location.270960/

I’m pumped too. It’s clean mud essentially. Don’t have to worry about all the shit mud damages wth snow. Your balls may freeze off but atleast your clean.

If the dealer isnt going to charge and will document the problem, I would. If there going to tell me You that you fucked it because of a skid plate, I wouldnt waste my time. Nothing wrong with taking advantage of the warranty. Worst case bring it to them and if the code comes up do what you need to.

I try to avoid the dealers as they usually have no idea. However the head mechanic at my dealer is pretty sweet. My truck failed a safety because of the bumpers. Brought it to him and he just shook his head and said my bumpers make the truck safer. The extra $50 for the safety was crap but atleast it passed...
