My first/new build - 2017 Tocoma TRD Off Road Double Cab - Long Bed

Okay,

I have decided to start a build thread to post my build as it comes along. I thought I would post up what I have done and what I plan on doing in case some of you have some advice.

It will be a slow build and I prob wont alter the truck much from the factory, but it will be a build in progess. I will add up-to-date pictures as I go along as well.

Below the list will be pictures of my truck as it was from the factory.....below those will be pictures with my most current mods.

Front and Rear bumper guard on order from Avid Off Road..............

 

Well, I got the NoxLux blackout emblems put on and got my spare set of rear bumper end caps back from the body shop. I had a local body shop paint the OEM chrome bumper end caps Quicksand and they put them on for me........I think they look great!

Next up........
- waiting on my front and rear bumper guards from AVID
- waiting to get a set of MESO's blacked out turn signals
- working with a local friend who does custom decals
- need to look for a sunny warmer day to install my AVS window guards
- install my A-Pillar light brackets and squadron pros
- continuing to learn/read about auto wiring so I can get started on installing my bussmann/relays.

Thinking ahead....
- What sort of blacked out front and rear light assemblies?
- What to do about replacing the chrome exhaust pipe tip
- Plasti-dipping the OEM wheels in matte black

This is a blast though and I am really enjoying working on my truck! Thanks to all who have helped me or given advice!

 

Okay,
I am thinking of replacing my factory TRD bed decal with one of these............prob the top one.......as the bottom one is too busy. A friend of mine who does logo's/decals and such is helping me make them. He is also going to do some other custom decals for me.

 

I received my front and rear bumper from Avid Off Road! They look absolutely awesome and I cannot wait to get them installed. I had a very good experience in dealing with Avid Off Road.

I have lots of things that need to be done to my truck, I just need some weather/temp thats not int he teens. I have no room in my garage currently to work on it there.

 

Updated my post with some current pictures of my truck.
Next things that I plan on doing is a Tonneau Cover and doing something with my wheels. Prob going to plastic coat my current OEM wheels matte black, and buy some new ones down the road.
I also still need to do something about my chrome exhaust tip.
Still trying to think of something to do with my third brake/bed light.......to black it out.

 

I know this thread is old, but how did those black/beige coverking neosupreme seat covers hold up over time?
