Just got this priced at the dealer with buy 3 get 1 for a dollar sale. One quote is for 4 tires second for 5. Just looking for some input if this an ok price. It's for my 2017 off-road going on the stock wheels.

Also how is the road noise at interstate speeds compared to stock tires? Been reading some people say no noise, some say little to none, while others say it's not as bad as mud tires lol.

And thoughts on getting the matching spare? I mainly get on dirt, mud, or gravel roads. Nothing to crazy.

    Thanks for your thoughts!

    Lou

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
where are you? i have 5 brand new ones for sale in the southeast and i can beat whatever the lowest price you find is

I’d pay that for em. It’s $250 a tire at discount tire around my area. That’s just the tires.

Pretty good price, get the spare, and wheel it hard enough that you'll need it.

I would suggest the C rated tires for your specific use. Keeps the weight down and will do everything you're talking about and more. I have the same tires in 265/70r17 and love em.

If it were me, knowing the size you're looking for doesn't come in C rating for ko2's I would look for something else that does come in C. Just my $.02!

Out of curiosity why? Do they just ride harder? Take down mpg?

Yes, rougher ride, reduce power and considerably reduce mpg. If this isn't an issue then you'll love em. They are quiet and a great tire imo.

I have them in 265/75r16 E rating and love them. Got them for like 850 mounted and balanced from costco. if you wait for a Michelin sale there, normally the BFG's also go on sale. I believe they are owned by Michelin

also, I run them at 40-45 psi no problem. air down to about 19+ depending on my off road conditions. They have worn evenly with about 25k plus on them. I average about 16-18 city and 20+ hwy.

Costco & 4WP have the best price in So Cal. Costco includes RHW, but they're difficult if you try to up-size.

i had this problem with costco. I had to take my rims off and bring them down and then they mounted the tire. after that put the rims back on my truck. BUT once you do that, they will rotate and warranty anything

I wouldn't get 5 unless your spare matches and you plan to rotate it in, otherwise it will just sit there and not be used. When you get a flat, your stock tire should be good enough to get to the tire shop. If you are upsizing and need a matching size just buy the cheapest Chinese tire for a spare. You will rarely, if ever, use it.

Good price for 4. Those would be $856 installed at Costco.

Yeah they ride harder and weigh more which takes mpg away and can cause more more wear and tear. Everything has to work harder to rotate that extra mass. I'm trying to stay as close to stock just in case I have to use my warranty for anything. I bought used and paid for the extended warranty, don't wanna give Toyota any reason to deny a claim. I don't know how you get 20+ mpg with these tires on the highway. I was getting around 21 stock. :notsure:
