I would think inspection would probably just see them as a wider fender, similar to a flare to cover the tires. I dont think it would be an issue

 

Works for me! And yes I should be free! Hoping to find some time to install the new Switch Pro I ordered and start wiring that all up tot he fuse block, lights, etc. Those are my only plans, so if you want to stake your claim before the girlfriend does, I'd say that's wise.

 

I have something completely different in mind but when do you want to do that?

Does anyone with a 2nd gen know if your bed has the same d-rings in the bed as a 3rd gen? The ones that at the back corners of the bed by the tailgate.

 

Probably the same, which reminds me that after putting in my bed stiffeners I still have those somewhere in my ever growing parts pile lol

 

Thanks for answer. I'm trying to add the d-rings to the 6 other Torx bolts in the bed but, really don't want to pay $25 a pair to the stealership. So I'm thinking of trying my luck at a salvage yard.

Side question: how useful are the bed stiffeners? I've played with the idea but I'm not sure that I need them if I don't plan on doing too much wheeling.

IDK if you need them or if they even make them for a 3rd gen yet. They help the bed stay where it is supposed to be. Most helpful if you are running stuff on the bed rails like a cap or some bars for heavy stuff like a RTT

I mean you never really need 80% of the stuff you find on here but, that doesn't mean you don't want it any less. I think I saw someone in the B/S/T that made a set for 3rd gens. Thanks for the help, sounds like I could have that upgrade towards the bottom of the list
