No. It was installed by the dealer. Cost was too cheap to DIY.

Mine came in and installed Friday. One of my best mod choices to date! Super high quality, also this new version now comes with a 2 USB port charging station. My installer went ahead and wired for me. constant power to battery!!

I do wish I had done the electronic lock..

Also I went with Rhino Rack tracks, way more beefy and sturdy than Thule/Yakima. Thule towers work with them also.

    Hi guys,

On a Snugtop Rebel if the roof rating is at 200lbs is that only when the truck is moving? will it be able to handle a rooftop tent like the size of Mt.Shasta CVT and 2 adults? Any concerns for long term use? TIA

Mine is the Snugtop Rebel. I would order it to be made, so you get the new USB charging station. Check the Snugtop website. Every month they offer one of the options at no charge.

I believe it is 200lbs rolling weight but I am not sure. I went ahead and upgraded to the sportsman's package, was only $100.00 more. And I think makes it 500lb rated. Seemed worth it to me. And I think it added to the overall rigidity of the topper. Mine seems rock solid. Amazing quality.

Did the same. For $100, it's a no brainer if you plan on putting stuff up top.
I don't recall hearing about the USB add-on, but mine is at the dealer scheduled to be installed on Saturday.

It is a new feature, I am not sure if part of all Rebels or part of Sportsman's package. Here is what it looks like, back left corner. My installer wired it all the way to my battery! I need to find a USB connector to connect my fridge!

So I noticed my dome light doesn't work on my new snugtop. Is it possible the dealer didn't wire it correctly? Something I can easily fix for myself?

I think it depends if it is battery only or wired. Mine only comes on when I turn it on, not when I open the glass door. I did not upgrade that. I was trying to keep my cost at 2500.00, so I skipped that and the remote key-less entry. At first I wanted the key-less entry but really I only lock it when stuff is in it.

Mine just simply doesn't work. They said they linked it to the battery.

The leer installer directions instruct them to tap into the running/parking lights in the rear of the truck for the dome light. So you have to have the lights on the truck turned on for the dome to work. Stupid way to do that. One of the reasons I wired mine myself. Don't know if that applies to snugtop, but you could try turning the lights on. Other things to try: does the ignition have to be on? Did they tell you where they tapped in to power?

So I called them and they told me it runs on 4 triple A batteries. Popped the casing off and sure enough. It takes batteries o_O

So when I take my truck to Montana this winter and it's -10 how is that going to go over

Ahh so you and I are in the same boat. I take mine skiing in Colorado. I can't remember what the wiring would have cost but I think I can rig something with my power already set up with my USB charger.
