Jesus where did you get that quote from lol? A got a quote for snugtop rebel with tracks and sliding windows for $1900-$2100 from a few different dealers OC to San Diego

 

Some shop in Huntington Beach. I wasn't even sure which model to get, hard to tell the difference. I bought my last snugtop used in mint condition for $800 lol

 

Check out the rebel I think they look best on the 3rd gen and it’s what most people run. The base price is 1600-1700. Used once’s pop up here and there but never in Black sadly and a repaint costs like $700

I currently have a Silver Snugtop that I bought a year ago, with papers still, that Id be willing to sell you for $2K.. Would need to be repainted so willing to negotiate a tiny bit, but not much since another person with a silver truck would be willing to pay full price.. PM if interested.

Yup, not gunna work.. $1,200 will be tough to find anywhere, especially in a specific color on a new gen Taco.. Good luck with your search

 

For a 3rd gen LB topper at a low'ish price you're going to be bumping for a long time. Searching every Tacoma in Craigslist for sale in SoCal to see if it has a topper on it and offering to buy just the topper is how I got mine, but I was doing this at the end of the 2nd gen, so there were 10 years of toppers that would work for me.

 

lol i know its low..only bc its not black. A paint job costs around $700. If it was black I wouldn't be worried for such a good deal. If a seller is in rush to sell they will get rid of it for that price. I have seen a few go for that price. I know very well how much these things are worth. I am planning on buying a new one here pretty soon, just seeing if I can get lucky thats all

 

Gunna take a prayer to find a low price snugtop on a 3rd gen.. I wouldnt split from mine for anywhere near $1,200 to be honest.

Gunna cost you $2500+ install to replicate the snugtop with carpet and lights I have... The reason I went that way is because there just isnt a secondary market with affordable options.. Why I just ended up buying brand new with a few little custom things for my truck.. If anyone needs a dude in LA, I can recommend.

 

Others have sold their 3rd gen long bed shells for 1000 here. It's not common but they have popped up in past.
