Who sells the protectors that go into the recess on the door sides to alleviate people opening doors into the side of my truck?

I simply put 5" oval steps on. Works great, and only dings their doors.

Is this something you could find at TRDParts4U? Haven't looked...curious...

Nope, nothing like that on there. Not even finding the clear plastic, either.

I have Color Matched door molding on mine. It at least protects the doors. But steps or sliders is the real answer like Cap said. You can see mine in this pic, been on since I bought it, and they do the trick.

Sliders do a good job of that too.

Nope I have them on for 3 years, and they still have all the paint on them. No chips or anything.

Sliders or tube steps do help, but only if their vehicle is lower than yours. I got door dings on my Tundra from lifted trucks more than once. You'd think people who went to the trouble and expense of a lift would be more careful, but then again, apparently not. Dumbassery abides.

I think they look better there. I swear that I've seen Tacos with a rubber piece in the indention of the door! Is that OEM or some other brand?

I did, that's why the question about the location. I was asking about OTHER Tacos that have what looks like a black rubber piece in the indention. However the color matched looks MUCH better! I've got same color as you.
