It charges on the QI charging port in the center console so no wires needed.

Correct. So does my iPhone 6 Plus. Did you have to purchase a certain case for the phone or just the phone itself charges without a case

So how did you do that? Just tape it off and spray paint the pinch weld? Being that it's a brand new truck I've owned for only 8 days I'm kinda hesitant to just start spray painting. Any prepwork involved? I'm sure there's a write up somewhere on this I just have to find it.

That’s what I was curious about. Still don’t think I’ll upgrade because I have the iPhone 6 Plus with the charging case where if you aren’t in the truck you just switch the little switch in the back of the case and it charges my phone. Then when I get in my truck I just set my phone on the charging pad in the truck and it recharges both. What’s the difference in the iPhone 8

Not a crazy amount of difference, the wireless charging, better screen, fast processor, better camera etc. I wouldnt have made the switch but my home button crapped out on my 6s and when I called it was only 20 bucks a month for this phone added to my current plan so no biggie.

I just hit it with sone fine grit sandpaper and sprayed it with plasti-dip. Didn't even mask it. I just held a piece of cardboard below the rocker panel and sprayed the pinch weld. I may do something more permanent in the future, but it's been like this for 4-5 months now. I've been through car washes and haven't had a problem with it peeling off.

I've been thinking of doing my rockers with clear gloss plastidip.

Stickers are on! Don’t worry I cleaned the inlays for them super well before I put them on so they would stay on

I ran some painters tape and brushed on flat black. Pull the tape before the paint sets for real and it leaves a nice sharp line. The flat black leaves no brush marks. Looks a 1000x better. I never did it on my lunar mist first gen and drove me nuts for 14 years.

    edited for accuracy

I like that and I'm definitely going to do that in the near future. Would you happen to have a pic a little further back?
