If I get this promotion, my job will be available shortly :bananadance:.

It's here in the foothills though (Moccasin). Although it is working for the City and County of San Francisco.

City wages and rural cost of living...

I can teach you the boating skills. Thing is, you live in Syphilis Heights. That's a long commute to the Bay Area. Plus, as a good diesel mechanic you probably make a fair living.

No wages listed. They like to get you excited and then let you down easy after they offer you the job. :)

The wages aren't great for the Bay Area. We've been badgering them for some time to get competitive, but we are funded by oil companies. And with oil going for about for about $45 a barrel they are looking to cut where possible. Fortunately, they just let two Senior VP's go. Those two probably combined for a mil a year.

All right guys, I have a noise coming from the left front area of my truck. I thought it was coming from around the brake area, but there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the brakes. And while I can't rule it out 100%, I'm pretty sure it isn't that. So, that leaves the newly installed Kings and Total Chaos UCA. On the UCA's I have checked the torque on the bushings, and the bolt that runs though the ball joint to the spindle. Those are good. Can't find the instructions for install of coil overs, as I wanted to check the torque on the three top bolts.

The noise seems like a slip/clank. Not real loud, but if I coast a few feet, then hit the brake I hear thing clank. Same if I coast in reverse a little bit, then hit the brake. A little clank. It is as though the surge of weight going forward while braking causes this to happen. A Toyota dealer tech held the UCA while I moved the truck fore and aft. He said he could feel it there when I performed the brake test. I don't know. Bumming me out.

Need torque setting for the three bolts on top of front Kings

Really can’t help much, but it sounds terrible. Personally, I couldn’t deal with that on your truck.

I was just shopping 5100s and frankly, if that $330 helps you out I’d rather it go to a face that I know and recognize instead of some online company. I’d be willing to swap my stock shocks and spacer lift plus the cash, it’s silent as a mouse and looks titties.

It’s really not as hard as it looks, it’s just about doing the right thing, even if it isn’t right for you.

Pretty sure we did a once over on all your bolts after finding the loose lower shock bolt. Do you still have the sway bar in? I can't remember.
