Iirc they aren't really a bolt on option and generally require bodywork and other custom work. Unless you're going LT I say keep stock, looks better imo

 

Honestly... I can't remember if I removed them or left them on.. and if I did remove them.. I honestly have no idea where I would have put them.....

I'll be going if I can find the time to work on the truck between trips. Hopefully I can finish it on the 14/15th and get it ready for the run.

 

Yeah these are a ways off, just fun timing! Once I've got the bumper and installed it with the winch and lights I'll probably get some sliders. I priced out some Pelfreybilt skids today, not sure if I'd go with them or others. Gotta figure out what will work with the bumper and then figure out steel or aluminum.

That's fair! The Fiberwerx ones I was drooling over were either bolt on or close enough, no clue about these. I have no need for either, they just look so mean!

 

Get the SOS skid package - I saw him list for 500$ for the big 3 skids (IFS/Mid/Rear) plus shipping as one of his specials - he comes up with a few here and there. I say reach out to him and see what he can do - at that price and him being on the east coast... much better on rates

 

That sounds like a good deal to me! I hope they will work with the bumper!

 

Which bumper do you have? Mine don't even come close to touching the pelfrybilt mounts.

 

Check out Apex Overland too. They have really good pricing on RCI skids(better than from RCI themselves). Their shipping costs were also decent as they're in NC.

 

Almost anybody's skids should work with your bumper. I have an ATO and it works with my Pelfrey bumper fine. You really need to consider how the skids and Sliders work together. My two rear skids are relentless and they take up one of the same spots as my bamf sliders wanted on the frame

I've already decided my daughter is getting my truck when she can drive assuming it lasts 16 years and the value doesn't shoot through the roof. She'll probably be the only girl in her high school who will know how to drive manual!

I've been dying to try a class there or at Southeastern either in welding or woodworking. What's your opinion of the class thus far?
