Bed Lighting for under tonneau cover options?

Anyone done anything to light under their bed covers? I am sure there is a joke mixed in there somewhere...

I have a soft roll-up cover and looking for ideas.

That is exactly what I am looking for. What do you use as power source?

 

You could tie the power into the bedight switch inside the Truck. Or run a seperate circuit and have a switch inside the bed.

 

i use these cheap LED switches
have two of them velcro in the bed.

works great for lighting the bed when needed, its cheap and I can always take them off and use them around camp etc.

Great idea, I just ordered 4, the bed with the softopper on is very dark at night.

What's the light output look like on that at night? Doesn't seem like it would be much... pics by any chance?

 

Here's a pic. It's dark out and there's a street light 40 ft. behind me. Tonneau cover is closed. Camera flash is off.

 

The OEM lights are just a pair, one on each rear corner? Those little lights do a nice job!

 

Correct. A pair of lights. One in each corner. Controlled by the factory switch (3rd brake light/cargo light) in the dash.

 

It looks like those lights would be more durable then the light strips that some people use.

 

Ok, cool. The Amazon link states that it comes with the wiring harness. I am assuming the kit has everything needed for the install?

 

Do you plan on never rolling your tonneau open?
