Is there a strip of film I can put on the painted top of the grill where my AVR hood protector doesn't cover?

Yup, If you are not a do-it-yourselfer just find a shop that does wraps and tinting and they can install clear film over it.

Thanx. All I need is the strip on top of the grill. Is that sold only?

I may have some left overs, I'll look this evening and if I do I'll send it to you.

I believe the one I linked to is Clear, so the paint would show thru and you can always peel it off if you don't like it or it gets damaged, seems like a good possible option.

Maybe the glossifier spray would be a better option. Plastidip finishes are usually matte not sure on the clear though. I've used the glossifier on the regular black and it did give it some shine.
