I like the idea of it too. Just can't ever pull the trigger on one...guess it's that I can buy 20 boxes of trash bags with the price of one (cheap trash bags...not that hefty glad shit).

when I had my softopper, the buckles broke. I used some from REI to repair. I think they were called sea to summit.

Something like this. They were like $4 each.

Ugh...I am exhauated! Been working on the stereo install since about 4 pm.

Got the maesteo! I fought with flashing the damn thing for over an hour. Something in my browser settings was jacked. Once I reset the browser, I got the module flashed easily.

    20171003_151044.jpg

I had damn near everything except the top dash pad pulled out, including the center console. (But was so damn frustrated I forgot to snap a pic.

Started out by routing the back up cam wires and put on my new plate. Here it is installed and functional.

    20171003_230340.jpg 20171003_230459.jpg

Then finished up the install in the dash. One thing I have to say is the Metra Double din dash kit fits like garbage! I will be ordering a scosche asap. And there was a metric shit ton of stuff you have to shove in the dash (with no room for it.) like @Bocsy44 warned me. I once again was so frustrated and ready to be done I just crammed it in and bolted things up.

Here she is in all her glory! I have cleaned up for the night, but there are a few loose ends I will need to tie up tomorrow.

I removed them on my last truck. You gain a lot of extra storage, but it also lets in more outside noise. On the back of the bins is some sound deadening, and it really helps.
I really like using Davids :anonymous:

I wonder if it will come off? I might put some outdoor carpet up to help dampen the sound.

I might get one but not black so it won’t fade as much.

No, it's this weird carpet stuff that would look pretty bad if you tried to cut it off and reuse it somehow. You could easily sound deaden with some Amazon sound deadening mat though.

Those were my wife's idea. They are 05 Honda 400 Ex's. We bought them last Labor Day. Took them out twice. The second time was last October, I had my 3 year old on with me riding in a baby carrier. He hated it (well wearing the helmet at least). He cried so hard he passed out. Then we got pregnant and we now have a newborn. We haven't taken them out since. They are just taking up space where my tool box and work bench should be...:anonymous::crapstorm:

I would really like a 1000 cc Razr 4. Then we could just buckle the kids in their car seats and go. But we can't afford one right now.
