    All too plainly. Bunch of local schools/communities have been having debates about changing the name to 'Indigenous Peoples day' instead.
    Personally, I'd just lose the holiday. I mean, a "Sorry we stole your land and wiped you out, so let's all take a day off" day really isn't any less insulting than celebrating the moron who thought he'd found Asia.
