That’s a custom bumper, I don’t remember where he posted the progress but it was made in SoCal

Ahh ok... I learned something today.

 

This is a proper slider bolted to the frame.

 

Yup, I'd steer clear using those as true rock sliders and definitely don't put a High-Lift jack on them.

Yeah my last taco had side steps that were attached to the body and after a small hit/rub they actually affected the read doors operation. It was never smooth opening and shutting after that. After I removed them, you could see where the body had kind of a ripple under the rear of the cab.
