So, a couple of weeks ago began violentalysurging upon acceleration. This obly began after a cps recall the dealership did. I recentely moved to denver and took my truck ti stevenson west toyota. They apparently found a dent in the transmission oil pan which didn’t allow the oilto fully circulate through the transmission. I do a fair bit of offroading so I assumed something happened out on the trail. Long story short I ended up having to buy a brand new transmission installed, around 5,000 total. I’ve had the truck for a couple weeks since, everything was working perfectly, until today. My truck is having a really hard time starting, when I shift into reverse the engine dies and high trans fluid temp pops up. Whats going on????

Did they replace the CPS? Sorry I read that you took it in for the recall but unclear whether they replaced it or not...

Did they remember to fill it back with ATF when they installed it?

I assume so considering the truck was running normally for two weeks.

You can start there. But with the CPS people's trucks were not stalling, just shuddering.

You can also try this. I have seen in this forum of people who install HIDs and their electrical takes a dump...

Please op, no offense intended - why ask here? You just paid plenty of money for a new trans. The dealership should warranty their work, get it back to them asap. Good luck.

PS - buy some good skids.
