I'm going for it. Crossing my fingers that worst case scenario I just put something cool and shiny in the engine bay.

I agree with you 100%. I live in TN with rolling hills and it absolutely infuriates me to have to drop to 4th gear to hit a slight incline on the interstate just to keep at 70 mph. I just completed a questionnaire from Toyota about my purchase. Needless to say, I didn't have anything good to say about the powertrain performance.

Honestly I only noticed a difference on the top end. However, I went on a road trip to Tennessee speeding the whole way and got 24mpg with a fully loaded truck!

Also I’ve recently added a 3 inch exhaust that seems to have helped.

Anyone’s guess to increased performance is as good as the other. I have both a TRD CAI as well as aftermarket catback (borla). Obviously I have nothing to document but by what I felt. There seemed to be extra pep after the mods. One thing for certain is it does hold its gears better than before and throttle response is a bit better. To me that is worth it by itself.

I just did the intake flow accelerator mod. I have had the TRD Air Filter for a year. (had a dealer coupon for $200 of gear after purchasing my $40,000 truck...Thanks guys)

I'll look at my mileage and pick up over the next couple of days/weeks.

I have not noticed any noise.I feel the truck is running better and smoother. no numbers to back it up though.

After 1 tank of gas the MPG is about the same. The engine seems to be more responsive. I did clean and oil my filter and I have a ETC always on mod. Now after 2 months I feel the truck is more responsive My wife drove it an d noticed the difference. I needt o put my pad on the OBD port to check the 0-60 and other things.

It’s not the motor it’s the tuning that sucks. That motor is a race motor. It has all forged internals squirters on the pistons roller everywhere four valves per cylinder double overhead cams. That motor should totally honk. It’s the timing that sucks.
