I need better backspacing from the factory TRD O/R rims. At lock under compression my fronts rub the ABS wire, no bueno. I'd prefer not to run spacers. I've been leaning more towards something a bit more "fancy" like SCS F5's, SR8's, or Method wheels in bronze. I mean, it's a decent looking rig and something nice like that would only add to it, right?

However, I do love me some trails and really dig black steel D-window style rims. They're cheap, if I bend one I can hammer it straight-ish and get home, they BEND instead of break, and IDGAF if they get rashed whatsoever. BUT... F5's/SR8's! They look so good even with a bit of rash.

So, all-knowing and all-opinionated ones, speak your mind freely.

If you run 255's I'd love to see pics and get your backspace info.

Most recent picture below for reference.

Think about whatever is the most rational, frugal route to go, and then go 180 degrees in the opposite direction with the pedal to the floor.

Having said that, 17" SCS SR8's, or Ray 10's in Gunmetal.

    Relocate the ABS wires.

If you want cheap oem, try 4runner/FJ wheels as they have less backspacing. 4.5" vs 5.25"

    Always like the simple ones.

    Gloss black F5's

Although, I'm partial to the bronze.

I've been eyeing the F5's due to it's weight and looks super easy to clean. Maybe they'll have a black friday sale.

Aren't those 17's though? I wouldn't mind the larger rims but my current tires have a ton of life left in them.

Thank you! I don't dislike them altogether but I would like less backspacing without spacers... Maybe I should stuck it up and just get 1" spacers until my tires NEED replacing

It's on my to-do list! And sliders. Not willing to accept any more debt right now though, trying to make a Colorado, Utah, California, Arizona camping road trip happen in December.

    All black everything! :headbang:

    ... But that bronze :drool::drool:

Such a nice perk of them. I clean them sometimes when they aren't really even dirty, just becuase its so easy.
Either choice is going to look killer. I love your truck man!

Being easy to clean is my second favorite thing about the F5's.

Hmmmmmm if I find a deal on a decent set, they do look pretty good. And they're the right width for my pizza cutters.

Hard to pass up for around $200 vs $640 for F5's plus they look great powder coated.
