I need a bed rack for mine, honest question do you think you could fit 40s with trimming those flares? I am thinking of skipping the massive AEV flares for bushwhackers and trimming to fit.

Yes and no. So that's a 5" lift. I already broke off the front air dam once and I have those bushwackers trimmed ALOT. However I barely have over 1 degree of caster with this shitty lift.... I reckon if it was moved forward to the 4 degree range it's supposed to be at, then it would be better. You would need to get front bumper spacers and a power wagon air damn (at the least) to work up front. I would get an aftermarket bumper

 

I know man I hate it. I'm honestly thinking about putting it for sale and buying a new 2018 Laramie with the sport appearance group (colormatched and blacked out everything) plus then it would drive straight.... and have good tires.... and I wouldn't have to spend $2000 at a body shop to get stuff painted....

It should release pressure into the over flow no?

 

It's a two way valve, either releasing pressure/coolant to escape in order to keep from boiling, or to allow coolant back into the engine with vacuum.

My point was that if the OP had a bad cap, then it can definitely cause problems in his cooling system such as high/low pressure or air being introduced into the system. So in his case, the OE TRD cap could have solved at least part of his problem.

Ok guys... what do y'all think? Originally I was thinking I needed to move my lower shock mounts down an inch to gain an inch more of shock shaft at ride height. Now I'm reconsidering with the new shackle position. Where it sits at ride height I have 4.5 of useable shock uptravel. That would give me 2.5 of uninterrupted travel and 2" of bump travel. Measured from the fender to tire (I know I know) that's pulling 8" of uptravel. Before I was riding on top of my superbumps... like maybe 1/2" till contact. I'm thinking I could probably leave it the way it is and just set up the bumps. Thoughts? I'm also already going negative arch too. The only other issue I see is the bump mounts I fab'd will only be halfway on the frame... unless I can space down the bump in the sleeve with washers....

All done! Just one problem... limit straps are too long... so we gonna pick some up on the drive down to Moab. I replaced the radiator too.... let's see if that fixes the problem. The old one was PACKED with mud.

But man what a project! Can't thank @utroda enough for his help. Feelin' pretty good about how my fab skills have improved....
