We had a cat make home in our garage. The wife wanted to keep it, but no. I told her I was taking it to the humane society. She cautioned me about how cats don’t like being in cars. I’m like well his ass is going for a car ride...

I made it about a block before that cat lost his shit and was clawing at my eyeballs for no apparent reason making the loudest, most awkward meow I’ve ever heard.

I promptly turned around and called animal control which is actually ran by the PD here. The cop showed up to pick him up and made me put him in the shitbag compartment(back seat)because he didn’t want anything to do with the madness.

 

I bust their chops over dumb shit that none of us ever forget from recruit days. Claim to be a Marine, when is the Marine Corp birthday, and so on. Chuckle when they fire back that no one cares. Hell, I can list a gang of folks that care as well as ones that don’t and they all still have that memorized.

Sagamihara-shi, 2.5hr to Narita Airport, 4hr at Narita, then 26hr on the plane due to a delayed departure and extended holding pattern over SFO, then another 1.5 hr waiting for a gate. 45min later they finally arrive at baggage claim... work through customs and immigration, tram ride to domestic side, then the 3hr flight to Minneapolis. I am shocked they still hang out with us.

 

What's your first general order. Nobody remembers the bloody third one, but that first one is locked in for life.
