Maybe I'm slow... What does "torque maps to match" mean?

so the torque maps control in part how quickly, and smoothly (or rough) the transmission shifts at a given load and RPM or speed point.

If I adjust all of the gear changes without changing anything in the torque maps, the shifting is not smooth

@OVTune, what kind of feedback did you receive on these new maps during testing?

@OVTune last question, what is the reason for the 3 maps?

Most likely the 3 most requested maps. Kinda like something for everyone if you read the last 100 pages which I’m sure you have.

just curious the reasons, or better yet, examples of how each act in regards to driving style

    I'll try all three still

Mostly good (although we had bad apples through some of course). But we're not finished yet.
it's really a balancing act... change too much, you'll see a hit in MPG.
Change the taller gears, the truck doesn't like 6th gear anymore

hardest part right now is getting the 5 to 6 interchange better than stock.

Does this mean we have to pick and load 1 of the 3? Or will they be combined into a single tune and load 1 map? Also, I notice these are all in "D" mode. What about the ECT modes? Sorry for dumb question.

You can select any of the 3 and choose which one you prefer. I've tested with a few different trucks and got input from several people and I can say with confidence one setting will NOT work for everyone. What one person loves another person hates. So we're setting up 3 different (mild/mod/max)

Can you explain a bit further on each map?

All gears I assume means you've poked around with all the gears.

5 and 6 means the truck changes to 5th and 6th as it would stock?

    What's 2-5 mean?

Which one is mild med and max?

Since you having trouble with 5-6 would you recommend V2?

Oh yeah and what about ECT?

So right now we can hit 6th gear at 45 mph. What's the lowest mph we can be at when hitting 5/6 with these changes?

Thank you for your hard and dedicated work Matt.

@OVTune I read a few post back from you stating that the 1.02c will be a combination of 1.01b and 1.02b with the shift maps? Is this still the case?

You could take out 6th gear for me & I'd be happy, between traffic and hills its completely useless to me..
Jumping up & down for the CrispyCream tune
