OK, I see that you're in Missouri so I'll type this slower so that maybe you can understand this time. The electronic filing fee has nothing to do with the dealership. It's an average amount based upon what your state charges to do a tag/title transfer, and EVERY STATE IS DIFFERENT!!

I'll give you an example that will maybe hope you understand easier. My brother's F250 cost him $130 a year just to renew the tag. When he moved to Arkansas he was able purchase new tags and registrations for his F250, F150 and trailer, plus get new driver licenses for him and his wife all for $150.

So again it has NOTHING to do with the dealership trying to make money off of doing your tag/title transfer that's just what the state of FL charges to do so. Hope this helps you understand. I know things like this can be difficult to grasp at times!

No need to bad mouth one's state of residence. But once again if you want to stoop to these depths of nonsense discussion --so be it -- shows one and all something about you. This has nothing to do with Missouri!
Also if you go back and READ the post you will find the person himself stated the following:
"Just a way to fluff up the real price, it was the best I was still getting at the time and I tried 5 other dealerships as well. None of them were selling it cheap really and I've heard some things about South-east toyota lol..it is what it is. After getting a feel from all the other dealers offers it seemed the best so I took the bullet"
Also if you can prove to me that it is the law in Florida that every dealer has to charge every customer these fees on every sale -- I will understand. TYill I see that proof from you or someone else --I will maintain my belief that these charges are mostly (if not all) dealer profit!!
    Nite-nite now.
PS I have learned many things in my 60 plus yrs of life --especially how to discuss things in an "adult manner" --Thank you

All you have proven is that you are smug and need to get a life. You will probably need another 60 years to figure that out at the rate you are going.

I just had to look for myself -- I went to the official Florida DMV web pages and found these rules/facts: Best I could read at this late hour you have a initial fee of $275.00 and another charge of $75.00 these are the 2 mandatory sums that you must pay -- it states you can pay them or in "many cases" they can be paid to the dealer. No where Did I read that it must be paid by the dealer.
Last time I checked that does not add up to the 6-hundred something the guy said he paid?
Also you may want to read on this page what one source says about the "notorious tactics" of the dealers in Florida!!

If informing other potential buyers to check out what the "fees" that the dealers are adding to customers invoices (legitimate or not) is "wiinning or losing" so be it. If anyone really "wants" to pay something extra to their dealer, that's ok by me --plus it helps put their money back into the economic stream.
It pays (yourself) to be an informed consumer.

Hey all! Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who posted their quotes. After watching this forum from the side lines for about a month. I was able to pick up a 2017 White Taco TRD OR DCSB 4X4 at $34,534 before TTL with an MSRP of $37,772. Not the best deal compared to what some of you were able to get, but I think I got a decent deal being in SoCal and all.

Hey all, first post! I have a dealer in the mid-Atlantic offering 2017 MGM TRD OR DCSB Premium & Technology Package W/Jbl Audio, All Weather Floor Liners & Door Sill Protectors, Predator Tube Steps for 36,607 + TTL. Not sure if I can push them lower or not? MRSP is 40,857. It is killing me trying to decide whether or not to wait for a '18. :help:

LOWER I DARE YOU GO LOWER..

if you're on the fence between this and an 18 then keep haggling more and more. If the price lowering stops across the board and the price is not low enough for you say "damn I gotta pull the trigger" then you know you should wait for an 18

Just put a deposit on a 2017 DCLB black SR5 with tow package, all weather mats and sill protectors.

    MSRP: $35,432
    Negotiated Price: $31,160
    Admin fee: $299
    Taxes: $1,869
    Tags: $299
    OTD: $33,627

Anticipating a $810 tax rebate from selling my 2005 TRD OR (never thought I would say it but thank you VT DMV).

The good news is I got 12% off MSRP. Bad news is I have get a flight to the dealer to pick it up as it's a 10 hour drive ($157 for a one way ticket).

    Can't wait to get it!
