Has anyone left their rear power sliding window open during a rainstorm yet?

Maybe its just because I haven't had the luxury of having a sliding rear cab window before but I always forget to close that sucker when I leave my truck. I know one day I am going to leave it open and its going to rain and ill come back to my truck with it being soaking wet. Any mods out there to beep at me if its open and the fob leaves the vehicle? The truck seems to beep at me for everything else so I figure something out there could make it work.

ive noticed mine wont beep if I leave the headlights on.

ive also left my rear window open over night as well, thankfully it didnt rain that night.
I have just developed a mental checklist when I turn my truck off now.

There are some (IMO) ugly wind diffusers that can mount above your rear window, but if the wind is blowing that rain towards the glass, it wont help very much. Best thing to do is keep it closed unless your going to use it, at least during the days where the weather can be questionable.

You don't really need to leave it open to have your truck ruined by water. They leak pretty good straight out of the factory.

It really saves the effort having to remember to open it before storms.

Even a simple thread like this turns into a bitch fest. If you hate the truck so much sell it a buy a Colorado.

I wasn't complaining like you are. Just stating a fact.

I have no problem with manual seats. Just doesn't seem right.

I prefer my manual seats. Less electrical the better imo. How often do you really adjust the seats?

OP if you are worried about leaving it open....chances are you probably won't

+1 I hate electric seats, the adjustments are too damn slow.

And I feel the same as you about the back window, left it open once but now I'm paranoid of it and never forget anymore

I can reach my seat with my hands to adjust it, can't reach the back window to open it. Seems legit to me.

I actually never thought I'd see the day users asked for more nanny devices.

    I was wrong. :pout:

I agree . I like power sliding back glass better than power seats. The 2nd Gen I had was four door and it had a sliding back glass. But you had to open it by hand. It never was opened in four years that I had it.

I'm complaining because your statement has nothing to do with the OP's issue. You took some weird opportunity to state that your truck doesn't have power seat which has no revelance to the topic.

The only time I leave it open is when it rains at night. So if you live in a place that needs rain, just do what I do...
I just get a bag of damp rid and call it good.
