So what's the plan for this weekend. Gonna try and get my BF1 unlocked. I don't think there is any support for bf2 and 3. Havnt been able to get in either forever.

However, I stopped playing in 2014. And I know things have changed. So I may need to brush up on things.

 

What do you use for burn in?

 

Burn in on the thermal paste? Prime95 that shit for 4 hours. Done.

 

@greeneggsnspam just uses his steak torch.

 

Then don't stop until the paste is black. Best idea ever.

Handbrake works really well, too.

And it burns ya some movies while you're at it!

I like Prime because I'm usually burning and OC'ing at the same time lol.

 

I ran mine for 24 hrs with prime on extreme mode.
OC'ed at 4.6 and never hiccuped once.

 

Prime is overrated.

 

Yeah I'm not overclocking my Threadripper yet. No need to for games since XFR takes over automatically and pushes it to 4.2 and the 16 cores are handling all my handbrake and pix4d needs great.

 

Yeah it doesn't tell you the whole story but it's a good bare minimum pass fail for a typical home overclock. If you want to be thorough it's best to run memtest86 as well after burn in.
