@Radarninja which coil bucket gussett brand is that? I have TC ones to get in, along with alignment tabs and dmz engine reinforcements. Hoping mine aren't as much trouble.

I've welded coil bucket gussets on for a few people. Part of the issue with the shitty fitment is the pre-bent gussets. The coil buckets move, the reason for needing gussets in the first place. Pre-bent gussets were prototyped on someone else's Tacoma, with a coil bucket in a different position.

I'm designing my own gussets that aren't pre-bent and allow you to position everything without big gaps.

    Yes
My Solo Motorsports gussets came as all separate pieces and I only had to grind one small part where it overlapped that weld on the frame that everyone has fit issues with. Remember to use some thin washers on either side of the UCA when you mock it up and weld the inside edges first then the outside edges last so it pulls the gap open a bit.

Solo makes a great gusset kit, the best I've seen so far.

Mine will be a little different and about half the price.

Yup, that's what I meant. Did you have to disconnect the steering shaft for the driver side?

Yea I disconnect it and then my wheel was aiming to the left. When I "fixed" it, it was to the right. Third time was a charm lol

Yeah man, it's definitely a job. Almost there, setting pinion angle and then headed in for some rest.

SOS Performance/Tundra Racing conversion. Have had it on a couple months now I guess. Night and day difference. Truck stops like a car. I don't cringe anymore when I have to stop short. No nose dive, etc. Well worth it, especially with 35s. Those drums are doing next to nothing.
When I took them off it was like the Office Space scene with the fax machine.

Mine ended up being right about 1.6 and I have zero vibes. That's what I was at before I cut everything off and before I still had some vibes at 5-15 on hard acceleration. The sua setup has anti-wrap properties built into the design and they are all gone now. It was a very pleasant surprise

    ...too much shit to list.
Why not measure the working angle of the u-joint after the carrier bearing and match it?

Well, Tim and I just had that discussion today. He seems to be over the math side of drive shaft angles and suggested I use what I had with the Alcan SOA set up I was using which was 4.5 degrees relative to the drive shaft.

They had just finished a short bed with 5.6 degrees.

So I'm going to give the 4.5 a shot, put some beefy tacks on the spring perch and take her for a very unspirited test drive. If all is well...
