Whatsup guys I need help! So I'm having what I assume to be some sort of fuel system issue. So this is a situation I was put in when I noticed it. I was going up a decent size hill let's say in second gear about 10mph floored it and absolutely nothing happened. It slowly revs down and then eventually will just stall out. Another thing I noticed let's say I'm going up a slightly elevated street I release the clutch in first and let the truck roll the truck revs down pretty low and just about stalls out before I push the clutch in so it won't. Most other trucks I've been in will steadily pull forward. Thanks for reading any opinions would be greatly appreciated. I have already cleaned the maf tried the fuel injector cleaner you out in the gas tank. Leaning towards fuel pump or filter. Thank you. 2009 6speed 4x4 a little over stock tire size 275/70

Just throwing it out there but maybe your throttle body is taking a poop. Could be losing connection or shorting. I've had mine just give out. Cruising then drops to idle. Get a scanner on there to measure the TPS signal and simulate what you are doing.

Its quite possibly the fuel filter. Its easy to replace and good general maintenance on its own.

Sounds like a malf throttle position sensor.

What is a malf throttle position sensor.?

Do you mean MAF Sensor ( Mass Air Flow Sensor )? If so that is entirely different than the Throttle Position Sensor.

you need to watch TPS. This truck is Drive-By-Wire which means your input on the gas pedal is just telling the ECU how much gas you want to give it rather than actually opening up your throttle.. If you have a failing Throttle position sensor (TPS) your truck will not "open up"

If that the case tho how does it let it open up the throttle when it flattens out/ is under way less load?

I was referencing the fact that a poster used "malf" as an abbreviation for malfunctioning.

The English language is doomed. Three quarters of Americans cannot spell or speak a complete proper sentence. It is sad. :(

No, It isn't a well known acronym. Fuck, it isn't even an acronym.

Acronym = an abbreviation formed from the initial letters of other words and pronounced as a word (e.g., ASCII, NASA ).

Thanks, you made my point exactly.

In his defense, I've never seen anyone use "malf" in place of malfunctioning either, but also him thinking 3/4 of Americans can't spell or speak a proper sentence doesn't exactly speak much to his credibility lol.
