Dude, if it takes you more than a minute or 2 to fill up your gas you are a major straggler. And I looked at the page. I got the numbers and posted the link to prove it.

Turning into? Wrong. GROWING is the right answer. Why only get money from oil when you can do both oil AND tourism?

You're looking at the next model up which costs more $ which only further proves my point.

My wife didn't buy her Prius because it was a hybrid. She just genuinely liked it. It just happened to be a Prius. Her 45 mpg average is no where near what the Prius is capable of. She drives it like a regular car and is quite heavy footed.....even keeps it in power mode all the time (which uses more fuel to keep the battery charged).

So yeah....you're right. The Prius' average are way above what she gets

Which only furthers my point. If people like the Prius and buy it for looks or whatever then go for it. But don't claim it is environmentally friendly or cost effective.

I think you could count the Teslas sold in my STATE on two hands. Not real popular out in the woods and mountains. My whole point is, until they can compete in range and ease of use (charge times, etc) AND cost the same as the current vehicles, there is simply no reason for the masses to buy one.

When did I ever argue that buying a prius was cheaper than buying a regular econobeater? And it's still a Prius like I said.

I'll agree to disagree here and in the next 5-10 years we'll see who was right and wrong about whether or not people will continue to buy gas-only vehicles over hybrids/evs. The same people though arguing against this are the same people who argued that robots and automation would never replace regular jobs.

Right, it depends on your area. Over here, a lot of people can afford them and are purchasing them left and right and not only are there tesla charging stations, a lot of larger work places offer free EV charging stations in more desirable spots. So for the masses in western WA, EVs and hybrids (plug in as well) have become an easy choice for the masses. The fact that I can get better parking, and charge my car all day for free while at work is tempting enough to buy a Model 3 when it comes out. Especially since I'll still have my truck for trips and wheeling.

    Thursday entertainment.

Also, no way anybody is filling up in 2 minutes, let alone 1. Maybe if you're pumping 3 gallons of fuel and getting on your way, anytime I fill up I'm spending 3 minutes waiting for my 19 gallons to onboard, and 30 seconds of button pushing to get the pump started.

Good luck. Gas isn't going anywhere unless governments force them away.

    .. but isn’t a minute and isn’t 2 minutes?

Not sure why you bother to rail so hard on something knowing the numbers you are quoting and holding onto are wrong, only to say “well it’s still faster than..” later.

    :notsure:

You think gas to electric is the same as horse to gas? Pick up some more books. You are struggling with this.

Just because it takes you 20 minutes or whatever to fill your tank doesn't mean it takes me that long. It takes me a few minutes. But even when I concede the time difference, it still blows away your point about charging or swapping batteries being faster. Either way, I am right. Doesn't make a difference whether it's 1 or 2 or 10 minutes.

    What? 20 minutes? I said 3 1/2.

    "Either way, I am right."

Also I had no point about batteries, you're talking to a completely different person than whoever that was.

Are you drunk as fuck or what?
