    I already told you I couldn't give a rats ass why you bought it or even if you buy one in the first place. I was merely saying it isn't a cost effective decision in comparison to similar non-hybrid vehicles. You're the one the tried to argue that point. Get over it. No one is ripping your prius out of your hands lol. But your wallet is wide open! haha

    I literally paid about $10,000 less than you if not more. I also wont have to pay for that battery either haha. Enjoy the Prius! Zoom Zoom.

    We paid a hair over $26k for it. Prius III, all power options, Entune, SAT radio, navigation, solar moonroof, optional Blizzard Pearl paint with other options you probably can't even get on your Elantra. And if you really paid $18k for it....it's pretty no frills I'm sure. A loaded Prius III and a base Elantra is more of an apple to orange comparison anyway. You would need to compare your Hyundai to a Corolla LE....or something along those lines.

    At the end of the day I care enough about my wife for her to drive the car she wants to drive. Not on how frugal I am.

    I'll agree that everything is speculation about the Ranger right now but the GM twins got a diesel and the next Wrangler will have diesel option, so I don't think it's out of the question.

    UBS did a study that concluded EV's would be on parity cost-wise with petrol cars in Europe by 2025 and North America by 2035

    I agree with your hippy notion that this wave is coming and denial isn't going to stop it

    UBS, a bank, reckons the “total cost of ownership” of an electric car will reach parity with a petrol one next year—albeit at a loss to its manufacturer. It optimistically predicts electric vehicles will make up 14% of global car sales by 2025, up from 1% today.

    not really gas prices in the USA are going down dramatically, non Hybrid gasoline burning cars can get 50 mpgs with almost no emissions with all the anti pollution equipment and regulations and will cost the consumer a lot less than a loaded Prius will. if you were really honest who and what is the main contributor of toxics emissions in the world it wouldn't be the normal Joe trying to get to work everyday in his Corolla being forced by the Government and Granola social warriors into buying Hybrid Cars or trucks to satisfy their own one world agenda, they would be addressing China and Indias over pollution of the air.
