Fucker!! As soon as I went to 35's the 37 thoughts started churning in my head. I'm trying hard to suppress. Don't want to deal with cutting back the fender wells and IMO 35's match the body size the best. My truck sits 1.5" taller in the front and 3" taller in the back over a standard 3" lift so 33's always looked small.
You gotta killer rig, envious of the LT for sure

Not sure any of the guys that have done it are still following this thread. I plan on using a cutoff wheel to get it off dirty then will use a flap disc to clean it up.

Yeah...saw that. I'm not down for cutting off the existing body mount and then re-welding another mount on the frame. It would also get in the way of my sliders which would be a PITA. Going Dana's route and boxing in the existing CM closer to the factory bushing. It's a hell lot quicker to do and will be far clear enough for the 35's I'm running. It's all about the angle of the plate re-weld. Most people cut back and mount it at the same angle (symmetrical) to the adjacent Mount arm, just further back from the tire. The box method places the new plate closer to the bushing, but at an angle and in far enough away to clear the tire. I test stuffed the wheels (full-turn) already and can barely get the tire to kiss the CM as it currently is, so this is gonna do it. Going down Sat at Hackman's:thumbsup:

I used a sawzall for the bulk of it, nice and fast. Then cleaned everything up with cutting, grinding, flap discs.

Did the energy urethane mounts at the same time. The oem rubber mounts were toast. The radiator support idolaters were so bad the bolt was rounding out the mount.

Some of the body mount bolts were seized pretty good to the sleeves and I had all new replacements on hand and returned the ones I didn't need.

The 1/2" bolts the kit comes with are too big for energy bushings, so if you do go that route have the same length bolts in 12mm... I'm pretty certain 12mm anyway, it's been a while.

*I'm also using these with SOS bolt on sliders.

I originally used a cut off wheel, then cleaned it up with a flapper wheel. It was the easiest to control for me.
