Next time I'll use MILF instead, everyone knows that one and if nothing else, a defective MILF will make everyone pay attention.

I also work as an electronics tech in manufacturing. I agree engineers are stupid, especially if they use malf as an abbreviation for malfunction(ing). And no matter how you slice it malf is not an acronym of any sort. See definition above.

And I'm an "A" service tech at a utility, also do HVAC repairs, do white goods repair, cathodics, pushed line crews and so on for decades and ''malf'' gets used a lot when you are writing on a laptop in a work vehicle and I've yet to have anyone call me or anyone else on it. We abbreviate a lot as we have only so many characters we can use in the electronic [computer] report. I can write perfectly fine even if it's with just two fingers.

Do you really think a Toyota Tacoma enthusiast forum is a good sample size to determine 75%of America is illiterate? Lol.

Well to be honest I never said illiterate.

    What I said was:

"The English language is doomed. Three quarters of Americans cannot spell or speak a complete proper sentence. It is sad. :("

No, I agree that just one Toyota Tacoma forum is not a good sample size. It will give a very good example of what I am talking about. I do a lot of reading on the internet and many forums, I read lots reports daily in my job, I interface with hundreds of people every day. I base my opinion on my observations of all of these things. Hell pick a news channel on TV and watch the news ticker, horrible grammar and spelling.

I'm through picking this bone, we disagree and that is fine.
