Yep! pretty much. I worked in POL so i wasn't at a desk thank god. I worked on the flight line, and got deployed. One of the few non indoor jobs in the Air Force. I made the decision to go this route for a reason: job placement afterwards, and needed to live for my kids, not get killed in a firefight in some hell hole. If i was single then, I'd have tried for PJ's or Navy special warfare unit-but didn't play out that way for me. Perhaps I put JP-8 in the C130 you jumped out of! hahaha

 

Currently separating from the USAF. Crew Chief on A10s for years an now U2s, cant wait to get back home and start the Rail Road career

 

Only the MCADS guys got to do that. I might have transported in one of those planes, however.

@FirstTimeFirstGen right on! I have a question....whats your take on Chevy's 4 banger diesel they have in this years Colorado/Canyon? Is it a variant of the 4 banger diesel they've been running in europe for years now?

 

I think the motor is a variation of the motor that was put in the Jeep Liberty diesels in the mid 2000’s
Not 100% but like 80ish%

 

.....hmmmm and here i was actually considering that truck at one point because of that motor option....thank god i saw the light lol
