Yep, there is one in my town about 10 minutes from me but I live on the ocean in a fishing town, why on earth would I eat there when I have fresh fish everywhere I turn. I believe RL seafood is all frozen so that's the end of it for me right there.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
The last time I ate there (early 2000's), I got the chicken.

its decent here. They have some mussels for appetizer that are really good. Im not really a fan of lobster but can tear up some shrimp! My wife isnt too adventurous when it comes to seafood so she likes what she knows. We dont go but maybe once every 2-3months at best. We hit up a greek place more than red lobster.

I have a theory. The further away from the ocean you get, the better the Red Lobster.

    Ohio...pretty decent.

    Texas...meh.

    Florida...horrible.

    Colorado...fucking fantastic.

This is based solely on personal experience whenever the urge for some cheddar biscuits hit. Refuse to even try a Red Lobster in the PNW because, by this reasoning, it would all taste like ass.

    Can anyone confirm?

Im in Idaho and its decent. Theres this other local "seafood" place...its HORRIBLE! long wait, crappy food. They claimed it was rockfish but its not like the rock fish Ive had and im willing to be it was catfish. I wouldnt dare eat sushi there. Thats why we go to redlobster.

Spiny lobster is better than Maine lobster IMO. I just cant see paying what lobster costs. That is one of the many things I miss about living down in KW. It was like $20 for a permit and Id go get my own.
Now, I pay $20 to go to the casino for all you can eat crab legs and prime rib.

We eat local, meaning non-chain restaurants as best we can. We also eat local, meaning to food harvested locally. Cow in Midwest. Seafood on the coasts. Regional specialties. Michigan pasties, bbq anything in the south, lobster rolls in Maine...

Chain restaurants have become tasteless and unimaginative. The chefs have no liberty to vary the menu that’s made up at corporate offices.

    That's like the Olive Garden.
5% of people eat their meals that they order. The other 95% fill up on Salad and Breadsticks, pick at their meal, and then take the rest home.

I always go local when I travel. Except Pittsburgh - their cole slaw is horrible.

Suddenly I'm seeing Heath Ledger hugging Jake Gyllenhaal and saying that it's okay that his rear end (differential) leaks...
