If I go to remove the spacer on the front of my 07 Tacoma am I going to need stock parts to put back on or do I just simply have to remove the spacer. I do know it will need an alignment once it’s back in stock configuration. I am just curious if I need to acquire some parts before I start this project.

If you are talking about the spacer held on by three bolts on top of the strut assembly, just remove it and get an alignment. Any reason for removing?

Depends on ware. Also make sure you aware of what you're doing. It can be deadly if you have a in coilover spacer and need to take apart the coilovers.

You need to compress the spring to get that out..

Wow, I've never seen them put one between the top hat and spring before.

@hensonjd what size tire are you running?

It’s a 265 70 16. It drives like crap and I think the spacer may have something to do with that

Low caster with stock control arms.

Lower the truck and realign or get upper control arms.

Check your tierods and ball joints for wear. If any of those are worn, it definitely doesn't help your wandering issues.

Holy ghetto shit, yeah I would take that out, the problem is your truck is going to be about 4 inches lower in the front, don't know if the rear is lifted. You could use the YouTube method without a spring compressor, I've done it about 10 times so far and never once felt unsafe

Oh and your top plate bolts might be too long to get a nut back on, you could always put them half in the slots, start the nut, and then cut the tops off if need be

I didn't even think it was possible to install them like that? Usually they go between the top hat and the coil bucket.

I think I will set the front back to stock and take advantage of the recall on the rear springs for new ones

Yeah. With that much pre load on the spring it will. Use a little stiffer spring and longer. Look in to the ome springs and lifts.
