rear end out of alignment after Lift???

    here is my problem...I KNOW THAT THERE AREN'T any ADJUSTMENTS in the REAR but, i had my truck lifted with Fabtech 6" w/ dirt logic rear shocks... but 2 days prior to having the lift installed, i had Toyota do the leaf spring TSB and had an alignment done as well...

    But here I am with a great Tacoma with 6" lift with 35s but it wont drive straight... It pulls hard to the left .I had already made sure to get an alignment after the lift and had it checked again 3 times afterwards... but here is what i found out... look at this alignment sheet and please tell me what could possibly gone wrong with the lift to make the rear end cocked and toe like it is?

    I'm guessing the put in AALs + block for the rear end lift?? When they did the axel was slightly twisted. One wheel is in front of the other instead of both ends being in a straight line.

    Loosen up the ubolts and tap with a BFH until they are 0'd out and that total Toe is as close to 0 as possible. (Mine got down to .01/.02...)

    Yes-I installed my own 3 inch lift and had the exact same problem. Total rear toe started out around .4. Not pretty. But I got it fixed-Knowing/tipping the shit outta the alingment tech where - take myrig helped a lot too.

    So once i loose the u bolts, where exact should i hit with the BFH to straighten out the axle?

    btw what should i aim for the Caster?

    For the Caster- between 2.4* and 3.1*
    And the BFE needs applied on the side that is further forward....I tapped right at the spring pads.
    I also did mine ON the alignment rack...so I could tap and pull and check it....and then tap and pull some more. It was VERY trial and error.

    sounds like you got easy access to an alignment rack! lol

    When you say caster needs to be between 2.4 and 3.1, I'm assuming you are talking about those numbers both left side and right side? Would you need a split between the two to keep it from pulling right or left? I've got an alignment issue that I've been going back and forth with my alignment guy on...

    Like I said- I know the the alignment tech and the service manager at the shop where I take both my cars to get aligned pretty well. So they hooked me up with the rack time and the tools to get it taken care of.

    Caster doesn't affect pull right or left (I don't think) It affects the stability of the steering over all.

    What are the numbers on your alignment RIGHT now...

    well, mine is at .9 left side and 1.5 right side. he claims it's set that way to compensate for road crown and if he aligned it at 2.4 to 3.1 on both sides the truck would pull hard right... i've done my reading, but i'm no expert.

    Yeah.....Thats not alot of Caster. How much lift are you at? You need to be over 2.4*

    So with my 6" lift... what's my ideal alignment sheet suppose to look like?

    I understand caster needs to be between 2.4-3.1 but what about the others?

    1.75 in front 1.5 in rear. not too much of a lift. i'll probably find another place to get it done at. thanks.
