The hood scoop is the best part about the Trd Sport... Just my humble opinion.

5% Tint, cargo tray and organizer, 1.25” Spidertrax spacers, TuffSkinz raised tailgate letters, Air compressor, Bed Extender.

It's all fun and games till you are surrounded by shopping carts and / or plowed in by the mall plow truck and your only saving grace is to Lock her up and crawl over the said curb or snow pile laughing all the way home!!:headbang:

In all honesty though, I will be using my lockers and hopefully the crawl control soon enough for real Off roading, and since we are being honest I think the scoop looks fine. Whatever floats your boat is best for you of course. Although it does somewhat detract from the off-roading sight line.

P.S. with a skewp you could also prob convince the bros that don't know any better at said mall or LA Fitness or the like that it's actually functional and is a forced induction for your superchaja!!?? Perhaps..

Maybe I spend too much time on here lol. Do a quick search and you'll see what I mean. My pro has a scooped hood so I've never cared enough, but I've seen plenty of instances on here alone of 16+ trucks being repaired because of it. Heck there might even be a TSB.

*edit: quick Google search shows some 2nd gen trucks with the prpblem as well! I thought it was isolated to 3rd gen only for the hood separating/vibrating issues. Guess not!

This... this is the only real "performance" issue between both. I'm fine with the scoop on mine but it does obstruct more when on an incline while wheeling. But, that's why you have spotters/skid plates.

I may as well chime in.
First off: my 2017 SR’s hood would flutter sometimes at highway speed, so yes, it’s a thing.

Secondly, and most important, SCOOP!! F491445C-5115-47F6-8FB4-77D4EF8766BC.jpg

Just bought mine two weeks ago. This is the first truck I've owned with a scoop. My last 03 Ltd did not have one. I haven't gone ORing at all so I can't speak to that. But I did have to drive 500 miles from NorCal to SoCal when I picked up my truck. I just needed some time to adjust to the look, as the scoop is in your lower periphery. After about an hour, I didn't even notice it was there, and now I don't even pay attention to it. I love it, I think it makes the truck look ::Cartman voice:: SWEEEEET AND KEEEEWWWL

So it looks like TW members overwhelmingly favor the scoop look. I agree, plus I can lie about it being functional :D

For people who own the scoop, I have seen some people hear put LED bars in the slot. :headbang::sawzall:

They are the "retro stripes", I flipped them left to right. Think @CBoy808 cut them.
