Sick of this wobble when I brake....is worse on warm days which leads me to believe that it is the rotors. Are performance rotors the fix?

Before firing the parts cannon trying to fix a problem, why not take a few minutes with a dial indicator and check the runout on your rotors? Spec on the Taco is 0.002", so it doesn't take much but it's still worth checking.

Have the rotors turned on the vehicle. Or "machined"
With the fixed caliper there is nothing to absorb the variation and rotor thickness or run out. My buddy and I did it with success.

look at some options for new rotors before you just have your old ones turned or resurfaced.. i found a pair of cross drilled and slotted for $106 shipped on sale.. local shops wanted 120-150 to resurface.. but I would check check other potential problems like the previous posts said about the steering rack.. Ive spent a ton of money on other trucks by just replacing things that could be the problem, just for the fix to end up being a damn fuse that I wouldnt have thought to look for.

Very unlikely. I assume by 'wobble' you feel this in your hands, not a pedal pulse in your foot?

If that's right, it's more likely to be a problem with another component in the front end that comes to your attention more under braking.

If it's a pulse, new rotors may or may not be in order, depending on their wear status. But they don't warp, contrary to the common use of the term.

    http://www.stoptech.com/technical-support/technical-white-papers/-warped-brake-disc-and-other-myths

And if you do true them or replace them, be sure to bed them in properly, or you're asking for a quick repeat of the issue.

How’s the wear on the tires? Uneven wear will cause wobble.

Wheels and tires are new.... I think the steering rack / tie rod ends may be the issue

Hard to believe a rack would be bad on a 5 year old truck.

As I research the rack and pinion guide appears to be a suspect. I am wondering about the spring that appears to apply pressure on this part and if the spring is shot would it allow play and subsequent wobble.....

Lol, Oh I know, believe me. Since joining this forum, I lay awake at night, with one eye open just staring at my truck from the window , wondering when it will come for me.

No performance rotors aren't the answer. This is a pick up truck.

Get your rotors resurfaced if needed also make sure your tires are balanced and check the steering components. Do you know about the proper bedding procedures for new pads and rotors? Look it up and follow it.

Does your steering column have any play back and forth?

Same problem here @60,000 miles. Just ordered new OEM Rotors and Pads after reading most of the forms. Reviews are all over the place with no consistency. Staying with OEM seems to make sense for me...
