The  clearly must not have correctly portrayed the thick sarcasm...

History will repeat itself, much sooner than the typical 20ish year cycle has in the past.

Hopefully the market will stay strong for at least 12 more months, then I can make my escape.

I camped on Snowshoe Butte last night, going to be exploring the area. Do those two have nice views? I was hoping for a view of the mountains to the south.

Picture probably won't attach. A little brisk this morning! But there's one in my trip thread, last page.. i think that's where i put it.

If I hit either I'll update. 72 sounds fun with trees. I don't mind a little workout... As long as a bow saw works

Does anyone have experience with cooper st maxx tires out in our pnw mountain trail snow? I currently have km2's which do well, except in the end of the season crunchy ice shit.

I had them on my old 4Runner and I thought they did well. I had KM2s before that and I thought the STMaxx was a pretty big improvement over those

A little inspiration for the next few weeks.

    Win a Cairn Box!

Should’ve done this earlier in the season, but better late than never. Lets get trails cleaned up before the snow gets here this season and covers up the garbage.

What: Over the next three weekends, when you are on the trails, hiking, biking, offroading, climbing, etc, pick up some trash that some dirtbag left behind. On Tuesday, October 24th I’ll randomly select two winners to receive a single Cairn Box, @getcairn with neat outdoor gear.

How: Post the picture on Instagram with the three following rules:
    1. Location
    2. The hashtag #Cleantrails2017
    3. Follow me on Instagram @ aero3685

Each user will receive a single entry but multiple cleanups/posts are always welcome!

When: Before Tuesday, October 24th 2017. I'll randomly select two winners and contact you through IG for shipping address.

Why: Because trails are much more enjoyable when you arent driving past plastic bottles, shotgun shells, and spare tires. And when its already clean, the problem children might think twice about leaving garbage behind next time. Garbage is one reason why trails get shut down for all users. Shout out to a great local small business Odin Designs @odindesigns and odindesigns.com who does contests like this to keep trails open...and inspired this.

Who: Anyone with an Instagram account and who lives in the US or Canada.

I’m currently on a bit of a road trip, and will keep pumping out awesome pictures along the journey! You can follow the trip on Expedition Portal as well:

Its what I have on the truck. Ive been happy with them in the snow. Thought they did pretty well in the late season crap snow. Times when they didn't perform well id say anything outside of a true snow/ice tire would do any better. Been happy with them on the pavement and dirt too.

Its what I would put on my next vehicle but might not work rim size on that one

Good to know! I went on fresh snow trip with some tw guys years ago, when I had duratracks, and people with KM2s just drove circles around me. KM2s were a noticeable improvement, I just dont want to take a huge step back going with a slightly less aggressive tire.

I think you'll be happy. I felt the STMaxxs were maybe a step down from the KM2s in rocks and dirt, but well worth it for me with how much better they were under normal driving conditions, rain and snow.

km2 wet pavement is mehhh to oh shit scary when mashing the skinny. other than that they are badass off pavement. durable ass hell too, one of my took a 3/4" nail into the lugs, wore the nail head off and still pulled it out with no leak.

I was surprised with how well my km2s do on pavement in the rain actually heh. But I also like it when the ass end swings out heh.

From East of Snoqualmie Pass off 90. It would be an epic sunset spot of Ranier. But it's mostly covered by the clouds of the incoming storm.
    Getting cold fast!
