Same here, but I can tell you the added power is nice. I've run 1.01b and 1.02b, and while both are much, much better than stock there's still room for improvement.

Once Mat gets a M/T on the dyno and develops a specific tune for us, I think our prayers will all be answered!

I don’t know a ton about auto transmissions, but is too much shifting bad? Can lead to wear?

That’s always been my concern with the constant flipping of 5th and 6th. Premature wear.

This is a deciding factor when choosing V1, 2, or 3.

 

I would imagine, yes. It's probably on the same lines as too much foreplay can lead to premature...wait...wrong forum.

 

Wear in auto trans is mostly due to heat, of course more shifting = more heat, also dragging from low rpm to high rpm (5th to 4th for example) produces a lot of heat.

I'm curious how we only get one file back when generally there's an ECU and a TCU, how are changes being made by simply flashing the ECU?

 

Single file I think for B04, 2 files (1 gearbox 1 p5 can bus) for the others.

 

Each truck has 2 control units (ECU & TCU) though. Doesn't matter any, just confuses my mind

 

Which one shifts the most?
