In that case, here is some off topic while we wait
Wonder what the Tacoma with OV's tune would've done

Get a Pedal Commander, jumps off the line in sport + mode and holds the gears to red line until you let up, the other modes are a bit more forgiving but all in all dramatically helps take out the dead pedal feel and has much quicker throttle response. But that said I don't think it does anything but juice up the signal that's sent to the drive by wire system, so not suggesting it's comparable to an OV tune but might work in conjunction, don't know that's a question for Mat. It also still hunts between 5&6 on the freeway but I guess you wouldn't have that issue just remember you have M/T. Anyway good luck, plan on getting an OV tune as well, just waiting a bit to see what people think of crispy cream And maybe for a 1.02D.

I think the zr2 shuts off at like 99 mph. The taco would eventually win.

I’m certainly interested in the OVTune, but I have a couple of questions. Will there be problems if the tune is installed, then while having the truck serviced at the dealer, they decide to flash the ECU with a TSB that was issued? Also, I was listening to my radio while waiting on my wife on day. I think I had the ignition on accessory and after a short while it shut off. I assume due to inactivity. I see in the OVTune instructions that the reading of the ECU files could take up to 20 minutes. Is there a chance the ignition would shut down?

Pedal commander? That plus a throttle body spacer = 60 HP.

    Add a k&n filter for another 15

I thought throttle body spacers didn't do anything for direct injection engines. I was looking at them but read somewhere hear that they were a wast of money, do you have one installed

TB spacers do just as much as it would for a little tikes Car as it would a direct injection, port injection, SC / TC, Diesel engine

So where's the updates on the taco you've been dyno tuning awhile ago?

On the first post. He only did 2 days with it.

I really wish @OVTune would rent a damn Tacoma and tune it for a week.

Do you think the pedal commander actually adds HP, it sort of feels like is does, but I think it's just telling you electronic throttle that you are pressing down on the pedal quicker and harder than you really are

    Anyone know?

Considering you are one of the testers for 1.02C, that at this point is nearly finished (according to OVtune), this makes it sound like you aren't all that happy with the nearly finished product...?

It will not give you any more HP. It might seem that way because you don't have to give it as much throttle as before.
