I fucked up.. call 911, getting a heart attack!
heated too much on the inside. Don’t ask me how I glued this thing without using an actual glue ( it involves a heat gun and glue sticks) lol

I was placing glue sticks on the inner side and then heating them with a heat gun, but on that corner I've spent too much time, resulting in heating outside of the grill too :annoyed:

Damn man, why didnt you use like a plastic epoxy? You can get a tube of it at canadian tire for like $8. It hardens in like 5 minutes and you dont have to heat up the grille at all. Maybe try getting a grille from the scrap yard and trying again. I know having the corner of it melted like that would drive me insane.

When I was doing my satoshi grille my hand slipped with the router when I was cutting out the middle section and I sliced the face of the grille. There was a big cut right along the top of it, super visible. I was so pissed for not going slower. I ended up having to take another 4-5 hours to bondo over the slice and repaint the entire grille. Pain in the ass..

heres what you should buy if you do it again. Usually in the automotive section of canadian tire

I was too lazy to get anything, so I just used whatever I had in the garage at the moment lol
I am okay with it not being perfect. One side of the truck doesn't match with the colour of the other side anyways and the door is still misaligned, I don't want even start listing all the issues the body of the truck has...But powertrain is in perfect condition, always maintained and working like a clock - that's what matters to me.

"I really dont want to go out to buy the shit to do this properly.. fuck it ill just use what I have here".. You have no idea how many times ive screwed myself as a result of me saying that haha

The amount of dings and scratches and stuff all around and inside my truck are the constant reminders that I need to not rush stuff, or itll end up causing more work for me in the long run.

At the end of the day, as long as the trucks running good who gives a crap about the beauty scars
