I may be wrong but I seem to remember that Toyota had an original design for the rubber all weather mats for the early 2016's but redesigned them soon after with more of a "tub" design near the door seal???

They had different part numbers also...

I had the weather tech's in my 2005 Dodge Ram. Kind of stiff though. My 2017 tacoma off road came with the OEM rubber mats. I like them much better than the weather techs I had. In fact, I liked them so much that I ordered a set of the OEM's for my wife's 2013 4-runner. In both cases, they fit properly and don't move around. The rubber is not hard but, rather, flexible. All in all, I highly recommend the OEM's. Need to order via the internet. At dealer, cost too much.

Mine came with them and they're fine, but winter is coming to quote Sean Bean.

I'm not knocking the OEM all weather mats but I chose the husky weatherbeaters. They are great liners and cost less than $10 more than the price you quoted. If you PM eccracer104 AKA Mike of AutoAnything he will give you a sweet deal on them. It's worth considering. I'm guessing you will be happy either way.

Installed the Huskys in the front a few months back. Excellent fit and coverage is 110%. No sliding issues. Have them in all vehicles now - wouldn't use anything else.

I have the weathertech liner, fit is perfect. I absolutely love them the carpet stays clean and I've never vacuumed my truck since i got it last year i just remove and pour all the dirt out good as new haha. They dont slide around at all even without an anchor. Ive had experience with the regular rubber mats in my tsx and they were "ok" I didn't like them personally they slide around to much and had some small fitment issues on both driver/passenger. My opinion, save for the liner you won't regret.

Wow! Those look great! Might be the set I get after my OEM mats wear. I like the added coverage!

Well after a couple days and a couple passengers I would definitely have to say they slide around A LOT. I'll be getting some velcro to see if that helps. I was considering hot gluing them down instead of sewing them though.

You could also install a grommet in a hole like the drivers one then zip tie it to the seat rail?

Then I'd have to cut them everytime I take them out. I think I'm gonna go the velcro route. I saw a product called eagle klaw that looked decent but it looks like they'll raise the mats up in the corner and that could look like shit.
