What does everyone play?

 

I'm not playing much ATM, but looking forward to Forza 7 in about a week.

 

I can't keep up with the Motorsport games anymore.. the driving feels so different from horizon.

 

I get bored with the Horizon games in about 2 months, I like the proper track racing much more. The Car list is going to be insane. Plus they are bringing this guy back:






I think I'm going to go ahead and get a Xbox One X for this game.

 

What's different about the X?

 

True 4K HDR, on Forza 7 anyways. It's the most powerful console ever made. It's supposed to play normal Xbox games a lot better as well. Of course, you need a 4K HDR television to benefit the most. It will also play 4K HDR blu ray discs, a good 4K blu ray player is $250 alone.

 

Well I was thinking about getting one until you said 4K tv.. I'll stick my 4 pixels

 

Getting an Xbox One X is like stepping from an iPhone 7 to an iPhone 8. It’s a little faster and prettier but it does exactly the same crap. The Xbox One X does have the initials of XBOX though so that’s neat.

 

It's 4.5x the graphical performance of an Xbox One, and 50% faster load times, but yeah it's not a game changer really. I want one to double as my 4K blu ray player mainly, plus I got a 4K television a few months ago. The games that are true 4K, (like Forza 7), are going to look quite a bit better. About 4.5x better.

 

I pre ordered an Xbox x. I been playing nba2k load times are atrocious. I'm hoping the X will solve this. gonna pick up the new call of duty when that comes out.

 

As much as I wanna believe this, I cant make myself be that gullible and hopeful. At least the load times for 2k18 are better than they were on 17. But they screwed up so many other simple things on it that are just frustrating as hell!

 

My buddy has an Xbox one s and that seems to load a bit quicker then my original... the game itself is good, just load times suck. I didn't have nba2k17 so not sure what load times were like

 

Yea, im still with the basic Xbox 1 so I don't have a comparison for the load times on a Xbox 1 S. 2k17 load times were easily close to double what they are on 2k18. But on 2k18 with it being "open world" based, you risk jumping servers when playing with friends and have to rejoin each other quite often. Also, joining your team ProAm arena is much more difficult than it was before. All in all I agree the game is good but there are definitely things they need to patch to make it better.

Sold my Xbox probably a year ago. Now 1.5 pc's and a mac for Adobe and college. Old 2009 msi motherboard with 9950 phenom x4 black edition, PNY 750ti, 16gb ddr2, 256gb PNY ssd and 2tb wd black, she's working hard with games these days.
Already have the new case, Thinking new AMD and Sli Titan Z's will suffice with 32gb, 512 ssd and another 2 or 3 tb wd black drive.

In an essence, no gamer tag anymore
