    If/when I tear a boot, I'm probably gonna rebuild the axle with extended boots to not worry about it anymore.

    I'll be curious to see how the rebuild goes. I've never looked into it before.

    i personally dont buy into them because clients requests so, it was something to be in a the beginning of the year but not so much now. Liquidity is also an issue to since its not very large yet.

    I
    Ill keep you posted and try to take some pics. I will probably buy a new one so I can keep the truck running since its my daily driver and just reboot the two tore ones. I am hoping I dont have to rebuild anything else in them except the boots. Thats all that is currently wrong with them, unless I get in there and see wear. I need to do some research myself on how to properly do it.

    Or ever have one run backwards. That was a crazy experience. I was working for this guy right out of high school. I was driving his duece and half dump truck. I backed up to the ditch that i was supposed to drop the dirt in on a culvert that we were putting in. He kept calling me back closer and closer. Had the rear wheels starting to drop into the ditch and told me to stop and start dumping the pull up while dumping. While I was trying to get set to engage the dump pto I still had the truck in reverse and it stalled, somehow I got the clutch in and enough juice to it to bring it back to life without completley dieing. He told me to pull forward so I put it in 1st and started letting out of the clutch. To my surprise the truck went back into the ditch and crushed the culvert. Man was he pissed! He started yelling at me to pull forward, I told him it was in 1st but keeps going backwards. He didnt believe me got in the truck and tried himself, I felt better about the crushed culvert when he got all pissed off and was gonna show me how dumb I was and let eat. He finished off the culvert and about shit hisself when the truck took off backwards. We ended up putting it in reverse and it pulled right out. He called one of his on call mechanics and they explained that when ut stalled and I managed to save it the motor restarted but cause it was in reverse everything went backwards. Was a new one too me, never knew that could happen.

    My father has a Lincoln Electric 180, working on 240V with Argon gas and this thing is awesome! When I compare it with my Mastercraft 85 on 120V I wish i would have gone with a 240... but mine does everything I need to with the flux core wire. And because it is 120V I can bring it everywhere, where I can have a 20 amp breaker, or a 15 amp but with nothing else working on it and bot at maximum power.
    Lincold welders are like 650$ cad when on sale, so like 45$US. I got my mastercraft for 250$ on sale, so you would get paid to get one!:rofl:
    It would be easier to learn with a good welder! Sticking 2 pieces of steel together is easy, but making good looking welds is harder. Better welds = less grinding and more proudness!

    The difference between flux and gas is noticeable too! Better reaction, better heat better penetration and better welds! If O ever start to weld more i'd get a gas tank!

    A good wire brush can take care of that too.
    never heard of this before! That is kinda weird lol

    This that and the other thing.
    Fair enough haha I invested a little about a year and a half ago right before Trudeau got voted on. One company has done really well. Canopy Growth Corp. Also bought into Aphria and Organigram. Tried my luck with Cannabix Technology (developing breathalyzer) and THC Biomed(transportation of live plants. Picked them up for dirt cheap so I'm riding it out to see how they do once it's legal here

    @Kemosabe
    Me neither...the best part is I had just gotten back from basic and my AIT training, which was for diesel mechanics. I was a diesel mechanic for army and never once was it mentioned that something like this could happen. I would say it probably doesnt happen very often but had it been mentioned I would have know that all I had to do was shut the truck down and restart.

    Middle of the night check in...gotta love when a quick diaper change before feeding turns into a complete redress! Now back to bed!
