Sounds like an awesome weekend. You gonna stay there all weekend or is it a day trip?

Me neither...the best part is I had just gotten back from basic and my AIT training, which was for diesel mechanics. I was a diesel mechanic for army and never once was it mentioned that something like this could happen. I would say it probably doesnt happen very often but had it been mentioned I would have know that all I had to do was shut the truck down and restart.[/QUOTE]
Was that truck old? I saw once a 10 wheeler that had to stop the engine to get in reverse gear, and shut it again to get in 1st, but that truck was kinda old,
    Maybe in the 80's?:notsure:

So what's the level of difficulty to swap front shocks/springs? Asking for a friend :anonymous:

preassembled like that? its 3 bolts on the top and 1 on the bottom. 3/10 difficulty! Just make sure to check torque! also might help to unhook the swaybar and move out of the way.

Also, how rusted are your rear shocks? those might need to be cut out

Also if you're going to tackle it soon, I recommend soaking everything in PB blaster now. I'm assuming your stuff is rusty being up in NY.

Oh damn.. they're not preassembled. Might have to get some help from local shop.

Not quite sure how rusted they are but they look like shit. I'll do those later today. Will report later on that.

so the picture you posted was not what you have in hand? Assembling them isnt too difficult, but you will need a spring compressor. You should be able to rent one from the auto parts shop
