What's up tacoma world. (new to the community) I got a 2012 double cab TRD sport not sure if I dug deep enough but didn't see it on here, also tried YouTube. Is there a setting in the truck where the door locks lock automatically? I've had other previous vehicles where you after 15mph it would lock on its own or when put on drive it would lock. All help appreciated.

Very misleading title... I imagined your transmission locking up while you were driving!

For some reason I thought we had this feature. I remember something about the doors locking when you put it into drive on the auto, or when you get above 5mph on the manual. :notsure:

Some stuff in the manual doesn’t apply to the Tacoma. Some is just universal to other Toyota’s.

It's possible that's how my Trans Am was, and that's what I'm thinking about.

I remember reading my manual about my basic 2013 touchscreen and how you could check fuel economy and change the screen background, etc, but yeah only on applicable models and a 2013 Tacoma isn’t one

I usually do to. I've been getting approached by sketchy people lately while sitting at red lights. So the thought of this pooped into my head.

On the Tacoma, when the door is locked, pulling the inside door handle still opens the door. On my previous GM vehicles, it didn't. That's why I never liked this feature.
