Ah okay. Thank you all so much. Looks like I can travel on these for now but will have to get new ones when I get to my destination. That's fine. I just drove it to my friends house (we leave tomorrow) and it was pretty wobbly but not that bad. I may bring it somewhere tomorrow and have someone look over it quickly.

Another thing is that I got new front rotors and break pads and the lug nuts are really hot often, and the mechanic said that's normal initially and will go away eventually. But it seemed like it happened much faster on the trip this evening with all the weight. It's weird, they did an inspection on the truck for my trip and didn't notice the leafs to be old, but I totally believe you guys because something is obviously wonky.

I’ve been running leafs that look like that for a while. I out longer shakles in the back to level it out a bit, and I get a bit more articulation off road.

I’ve NEVER worried about them breaking.

Tacomas were never really good with any sort of weight in the bed, so pretty much anythig heavier than a bag of feathers will make them sag.

As others said, you’re fine for your trip, but I would consider new shcks AND springs on all 4 corners relatively soon, your ride will improve drastically.

As I said, I’ve been riding on some “W” shapped leafs for a while now. I’m just holding out for new off road oriented ones, and I can’t decide if I want All-Pro, Deaver, or to go with something like a chevy 63” swap and custom shock perches...

Thank you. That's very comforting to know!

I have about 1" left of clearance between the frame and he axel bumper. Is this okay? I will go slow on bumps, but that should be fine if it hits every now and then right? Or is it dangerously wearing on axel?

You should be fine. It will mostly just make for an u comfortable ride.

If you make a habit out of riding with heavy weights, though, you should definitely look into heavy duty springs.

    Too many to list
I'd go easy on it. Don't go curb jumping. And maybe in your travels look for a set of springs at a few junk yards..have a great trip.

Leafs don't look very bad to me and the rear doesn't appear to be sitting abnormally low.

I have a hd stock replacement pack on mine and they sit pretty similar to that.

The stock pack in these trucks are fairly straight when under no load and it doesn't take much to give them a negative arch, which is normal. I believe 2nd gen is the same way
